chasing our dreams
As I finished writing that last post, I wonder if I seemed almost a little too zealous in my pursuit of the ultimate "dream car." The reality is, although I've always thought that it would be way cool to own the truck I now have, it has never been an all-consuming desire. In fact, it was out of sight and out of mind until I had some free-time this past Friday.
I think in life, we each have dreams that we continually chase. Some dreams stay the same over time, while others seem to change with our life experiences. No car, no truck, or anything like that could ever compare to the ultimate dream I have of seeing people I truly care about and love, and people I don't even know, gain a grasp of the grace of Christ and have their lives transformed by His grace and His forgiveness. How that dream comes in the lives of people is amazing and the perspective I have to help students encounter the grace and love of Christ is unbelievable. I dream of when they will accept His grace and seek to have their lives transformed by Him. I dream many dreams and to have the freedom to experience the grace and love of Christ in my life is the ultimate dream come true. The really cool part is, that dream can become the ultimate reality, in this life, and in the life we have in the eternal presence of God the Father. chasing our dreams
